What is a g(TLD)?

cube from gemini.jpg

A generic Top Level Domain is an easily recognized suffix that is used at the end of a domain name. In other words, it is the last part of the domain name after the dot. Some examples of the newest (gTLDs) are .online, .shop, .health, .art, etc. Basicallym it’s about the “language sentence”. If someone is typing in the search box, “make vet appointment" these descriptive keywords assist search engines to locate websites more accurately delivering the best results such as: “makeappointment.vet.”. BINGO! (pun intended!)  A “language sentence” includes a phrase that is more direct which enables search engines to find the domain names that offer top results. This lets customers and search engines know exactly what you do. (Side note, using the same keywords in your meta descriptions, meta title tags, domain names, title, headers and Alt-image tags are extremely helpful as well! Algorithms use hundreds of factors and are always changing but keywords and web crawlers (web spiders that scan the internet)) play a large role in locating your website.  Generic top-level domains (gTLDs) offer a short one or two worded website address that sorts out and classifies your web address making it easy to remember.  There are approximately 932 million different domains that are flooding search engines year to date. .Com is an extension that is becoming more like the dinosaur. Pick up a new (gTLD) while it's still available. The most recent added(gTLD)s can be found on Google Registry.

“Attorney-Reviewed for Resale”

Gemini_Generated_Image_bqci4hbqci4hbqci.png
Prior to being listed for sale on any marketplace, gTLD domain names offered by Flipit.Digital are attorney-reviewed for resale purposes to screen for potential trademark conflicts. This review is limited in scope and is not a determination of trademark availability, registrability, or lawful use in any jurisdiction. No trademark, intellectual property, or brand rights are transferred or implied with the sale of a domain name.

Buyers are solely responsible for conducting their own independent legal and trademark due diligence and for ensuring compliance with applicable trademark laws prior to use. Trademark rights are jurisdiction-specific and dependent on the buyer’s intended use. Flipit.Digital makes no representations or warranties regarding trademark protection or infringement outcomes.

Securing a domain name early—before it attracts broader market attention—can provide branding flexibility and strategic optionality. Buyers considering trademark registration should consult a qualified trademark attorney to evaluate availability, scope of protection, and suitability for their intended business use.

Smooth Transition

🔐

  Step 1. Transferring of Funds

Flipit.Digital only directs visitors for sales and processing through only 3 different platforms.
1. Sedo.com, a leading online marketplace that has a user base of 2 million customers from over 150 countries. source
Afternic.com one of the world's largest domain marketplaces owned by Godaddy.com.

3. Escrow.com a secure processor that is a trusted payment service protecting its buyers and sellers.  Government Licensed, Audited, Insured & Bonded.

Step 2. Transferring of Ownership

Plus, there's no need to redo your website after the domain purchase and the transfer of ownership is complete.  Ownership is not permanent, but rather a registration or "lease" with the domain registrar that must be renewed periodically to remain active.  However, redirecting your old web address preserves your search engine optimization ensuring both a search engine and user-friendly experience. Perhaps, a 301 redirect is the best route to prevent broken links. Be sure to review your existing back links and consult with your web developer for more information and for web developer professional advice.

Break Down: Buyer pays> funds held in escrow> Seller transfers domain ownership> Buyer confirms receipt> escrow releases funds to the seller.
